There is little talk, so far, about how the shift in grain prices will affect who holds power in the U.S.

Just as Jimmy Carter, a peanut farmer, made his way to the top of the political process, we should see farmers with increased income flows gaining political power.

This process is in its early stages with grain prices doubling in the last year.
